Join our WhatsApp Communities

We have created communities for members to get together based on your department and job roles. These new communities are dedicated, private spaces for members and will allow us to improve how we connect, communicate, and work together as a branch. We will be able to share ideas faster, involve more members and discuss key issues like rates, working practices, AI, and training.

As a member, you will be able to:

• 👥  Connect and network with colleagues in your department

• ⚠️  Raise workplace concerns with members and reps

• 🔔  Receive instant updates on social events, meetings, and news

• 🤝  Access peer support from experienced members

• 🗳️  Take part in voting polls and give feedback on campaigns and union decisions

• 📢  Engage directly with your Bectu representatives for guidance and to drive collective action

We hope that these communities will support you in getting more involved in the union and getting to know fellow members. We are stronger together and look forward to welcoming you into the communities.

Important guidelines for participating:

• Topics may be sensitive or confidential and so we kindly ask you to not share any details outside of the membership.

• Please refrain from messaging members outside of the community unless they have given you permission to do so.

• Please do not share the community group link - doing so will lead to removal

• You can join more than one community if you work in more than one area or would like to join freelance and employer based groups.

We appreciate your cooperation in making this a positive and effective space for us to grow our community.​
