We are excited to announce that we have launched new Rate Card surveys!
Our Rate Cards cover Editorial, Sound, Music, Online, Grade, MCR, Runners and Post Production Facilities employees, and are developed using the data that you submit to our surveys, which we use to evaluate and establish industry standards.
Please complete your Rate Card Survey or bit.ly/addmyrate at the start of every new job and circulate it amongst your colleagues to help us obtain accurate, current, and representative figures. If you have a moment, please submit your rates from previous years - we have added a quick submit at the bottom of the jobs page!

Post Production Facilities
We have now released a new survey - please let us know if there are any roles that should be added or if specific data should be collected. We are also looking to speak to Colourists, Grade Assistants, Online Editors, Online Assistants, Edit Assistants, Senior/Junior Edit Assistants, Runners, Operators and Engineers to help us develop rate cards that represent facilities. Please email us at committee@theroughassembly.com if you are interested in having a chat, or if you have any suggestions or questions we can help you with.
Editorial Department
In Feature Film, TV Drama & Comedy, Factual and Short Form, it has been agreed that we will maintain the current rate cards until the next tax year, due to this exceptional year in post production, with the US strikes and an unprecedented slowdown in the UK market. The rate cards are normally updated every April according to inflation and data from our rate survey.
We want to take this opportunity to collect more data on rates that we all, as post production workers, are achieving. Please fill out the appropriate rate survey for your last few jobs. We will then analyse the data to create updated minimum rate cards to help you negotiate for fairer rates before the new tax year.
Sound & Music Department
Committee members Peter Warnock and Kallis Shamaris have been working incredibly hard to evaluate rates in Post Sound & Music and have created a detailed report to evaluate the data which has been shared in the WhatsApp group. Please keep up to date with the group for news and further updates.
Please fill out the appropriate rate survey at www.theroughassembly.com/ratesurvey or bit.ly/addmyrate for your last few jobs.
